wiper motor problems. Help!!!

I redone my truck with a painless harness. The first time I turned wipers on they worked. The next time I tried to use them Nothing! Although the squirters are working, I replaced the motor and still wipers won't work. I checked all the terminals on the motor and they all are getting power to them. the new motor has a good ground on the one bolt with the brass ground on it, I'm frustrated can anyone come up with any thing that i'm missing to get these fixed. thanx in advance

Wiper switch controls the ground. If you have power to the motor it might be a bad switch.

Like "Sinister" said, the motor is insolated from the mounts,power runs to the motor and it gets its ground from the dash switch(make sure your switch is grounded to dash).
This is so when you turn off the switch there is a switch in the motor that stays closed until the arms are down then it opens stopping the motor in the resting position.

Had the same problem with mine. Had to get down to the metal-I scraped the paint off the rear of the switch mounting hole.

Sinister, Sneaky and Botie, thanks for the info. I did not know the switch needed grounded. I will check and see if it is metal to metal as soon as i can. Again thanks for the info. This is the best site for people helping people.

I just ordered a new switch through Ron Francis Wiring for my build and a new motor from O'Rielly's. I had to reseach a little to make sure they both worked together. There's the 3 prong and 4 prong motors.
