Here are some photos of a 70 pickup column. It is out of a 4 speed truck that my son had so there is no shift lever for an automatic. The column from the top of the turn signal switch housing to the bottom of the bearing is 32-3/4 inches.


With it propped up in one of my spare cabs and set up to where it should be comfortable with a 3 inch dish or later steering wheel. Not propped up quite high enough though.


There is a little over 4 inches sticking through the floorboard


It could be slid in or out a bit to get that exact comfortable fit.
