There must be two styles on how these speakers mount? I've never seen one with the circled bracket (first picture). Mine appears to be integral to the speaker (second picture).

I just checked with the guy I bought my speaker bracket from, and he said his Blazer had AC (ie. it had controls in the dash not a delete plate). Maybe the two different styles can be explained by production variation?

That circled bracket is on all factory air trucks, it mounts the a/c type controls into the dash. This was gm's way of making a 66 chevy pass. car piece that they already had on the shelf work in these trucks.
