Converting 1970 Dually to Front Disc Brakes ?

So can a 1970 dually be converted to front disc brakes by using complete front disc brake cross member from a donor 1984 Chevy crew cab one ton c/30.Any info. and or suggestions would be appreciated.I have a lead on one and if it is compatible ,I want to get it for future dually project.

Allen is right, the newer brakes work fine and they actually have bigger/better calipers than the 71 - 72's.

71 - 87 will work. Actually the 1 tons that didn't change to the GMT-400 body in '88 would work all the way up to '91 IIRC. ut for '84 will be fine. You will have to change over to 73 - up balljoints and tie-rods ends.
