8.5" front static drop
Haven't touched my 66 in years. want to put it back together and drive it with out hassles... thinking of taking the bags out of the front and throwing some springs in there. Right now it currently has 1" body drop, 1.5" sectioned cross member, 3" spindles and airbags. If I put a 3" spring in there I think it will be pretty drivable considering I can raise the rear... plus, I raised my motor and trans up. The lowest thing on my truck is the body... What do you guys think? Its raining so i can't go out and do some measurements. if someone could post a picture of their 3" spring in the pocket so I could see the a arm that would help to put my truck at the same level and see how low it is. Thanks, Jared

Re: 8.5" front static drop
Why is driving it with bags a hassle? Driving an extremely low truck with out an adjustable suspension seems more of a hassle to me.

Re: 8.5" front static drop
With that much drop it would be hard to say how streetable it will be. I would imagine turning it will be a complicated process.

Re: 8.5" front static drop
Wow what offset wheels and what diameter? I was worried about my 82 with a 6 inch drop in the front having issues on 20's

Re: 8.5" front static drop
Ah well that would make sense. I didn't think you would be able to turn it like that with 20's or 22's on it.
