Help with removing my dash

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but im trying to remove my dash in a 1970 c-10. MY question is do I have to remove my winshield I took all the bolts on the sides out and it seems to be stuck at the top and from what I can tell the lip of the dash goes behind the winshield molding. Any help you guys can give will be great. jack

Re: Help with removing my dash

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought the dash was spot welded to the top of the firewall @ the windshield molding.

Re: Help with removing my dash

Yeah, and because of the angle where the spot welds are, it can get kinda messy.

I have a bare cab I removed on out of and still had a hard time.

Need to have the correct tools for the job, spot weld cutter or -

What's that other name = starts with a "B" i think?

After Thought: "Broach" or "Rota Broach"

Second Edit: Their from Blair Equipment Blair Equipment, Any thoughts? They do have a 1/4" available, seems mostly larger diameters...

Re: Help with removing my dash

I think the assembly manual shows 27 spot welds.

Re: Help with removing my dash

I drilled out 32 spot welds to get one out of a donor truck. Not fun.
