Where does this go within the turn signal switch?

Hey guys, this has got Longhorn Man and myself stumped. I was having brake light issues due to a loose wire within my turn signal switch. When I took it apart to fix the wire, the small piece of metal fell out and I cannot seem to figure out where it goes. I think it may have something to do with the horn contact because now if I put pressure on the steering wheel, the horn goes off.

Any ideas?

Re: Where does this go within the turn signal switch?

If I recall, on my 67 there was a piece that looked like this

<

Of course not at as steep of an angle. But it was located on the right side on top of the turn signal switch cam(the big plastic piece that your turn signal lever attaches to) and it was on the right side either above or below the "<" shaped metal strip. Not sure if that helped, but hopefully it did.

Here is a picture of the turn signal switch. I should have included it so that someone may recognize the missing piece.
