Gas pedal rod support for 68

Can these still be found new? Mine broke and now the truck is stranded.

Need to tell us more... What is a rod support? Maybe a picture would help.

Re: Gas pedal rod support for 68

The pedal rod support is the triangular plastic piece bolted to the engine side of the firewall. It supports the rod that runs from the back of the gas pedal to the linkage on the carburator.

Not looking to buy a used one just wanting to know if they are still available?

LMC, Classic parts, Early classic did not have them on their web sites or in the catalogs.
This may be a special part that has to be manufactured at a machine shop.

Re: Gas pedal rod support for 68

lets not turn this into a parts thread.
The OP is asking for parts avalibility... even specificly said he was no looking to buy used parts here.

The part you are looking for is only avalible used. There might be an aftermarket solution, but it would be more universal and probably expensive.

Gotcha... I see them in junkyards when I do happen to find an old 67-72 truck but I have never seen the piece in a parts catalog. I sure thought it was a metal piece though.

I'm looking for one of these as well. If anyone has a lead on one (new or used), let me know.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
