Re: where is the horn in my '78?

okay so i pulled the horn button assembly apart and i can make an arc between the sprung pin and the body ground.

i'm assuming that this is good because it means that i am getting power up the colum?

*okay i put a multimeter on and i'm getting 13 v at the colum

that happens on here all the timeI think wire is dark green, if you open the hood on the driver side its routed by the headlight through the radiator support if I remember right

Its a few inches above or side of the fuse panel, don't remember since I have a universal wiring harness

Re: where is the horn in my '78?

Yeah it's above the fuse box.
Most of the time it's the horn ring in the column, but I've had a few of those horns go bad on me too.

i still have power at the colum,
i have tried to arc with a screwdriver but nothing, so i am hoping that it is the relay

Re: where is the horn in my '78?

Put a test light on the horn wire and get someone to push the button.
I'll bet the horn is bad.
