Long to Short
Haven't been here for awhile, but getting back to working on the restoration of my 68.
It's a long Fleetside, and like many others I do like the looks of the shorter beds. I am wondering if anyone has shortened the long bed and if so what is involved. Where to make the cuts is best.

Re: Long to Short
Frame; 12'' under cab and 8'' off rear. Bed [ if you want to shorten it as well ] 12'' off the front of the bed and 6'' off the rear close to the wheel well. Good luck........

Re: Long to Short
Not that I don't LIKE long beds but I was just thinking what it would take to shorten one. Now I know and ya I'm keeping it long and stock.
I have an addiction to trucks and love them all, but can't afford many.So I dream..........
