movie trucks

Yeah I remember that one, there was also a 71 or72 in the movie 'in the bedroom' it's been out on video for a while now. Not a bad movie, can't remember who was in it, I guess I was more concerned about seeing the truck than anything.

If you look even closer, you will see that the truck that Matt Dillon drives in "Beautiful Girls" is a Blazer with a half top.

In the movie Sweet Home Alabama (chick flick), Reese Witherspoon's husband drives a later GMC 4x4. It has the black rings around the grille, I think.

Anyone seen or remember the little known 80's movie "Catch me if you can", about a high school kid who drag races a black '68 Chevelle and then in the end he gets a sweet '57 Chevy to race the "Twin City run, twenty miles in twenty minutes". In one race w/ his Chevelle, he beats a yellow SWB '72. Haven't seen that movie in a while. Maybe I'll pop it in tonight.

As long as we are on the topic of old trucks in movies...... There are a pair of old chevy trucks in the movie Dazed and Confused... one 67-72 and one 73-87.

alabama

The dude in sweet home alabama is driving a 72 gmc 4x4. A little beat up but cool. the shift lever is in the park posotion while they're shooting the scene where the 2 dudes are riding in the pickup when it's moving down the road. Hollywood screwup. I didn't consider it a 100 % chick-flick because the guy flies airplanes, drinks beer, drives an old chevy & wises off to his old lady who tries to be a goody 2 shoes........Zoomy

GroundHog Day

I remembered another movie with a 67-72 truck; "GroundHog Day"Bill Murray plays a weatherman stuck in a kind of time warp, he attempts to kill himself by driving the truck off a cliff, such a waste of a truck, it was funny but sad. Good movie, very funny.
