Question spare tire and carrier?

I have a 72' 3/4 and which way should the spare tire face under the truck with the carrier in place? Should front of the wheel be up or down towards the ground? Thank you.

Wink Re: spare tire and carrier?

As a general rule, the spares usually mounted with the outside down so you could get to the valve stem to check the air pressure and add air as needed with the tire mounted under the truck.
