convertable?

Has anyone turned their non full convertable blazer into a full convertable blazer? I have an 85...and would LOVE to have the full convertable.

You'll have to excuse Dave, he has a fascination with things he can bend over.
As for your project, it's a lot of work. Are you just wanting to make a convertible without a top? If so, just start cutting and cap off the holes. If you want the old style tops, I imagine with some work you could cut your new Blazer and get the old top to fit. Sounds like problems waiting to happen though. Good luck!

It would be cheaper to buy a full convertible topped Blazer and do a front clip swap unless you are handy with the sheet metal hammer.
If it were me thats what I would do if I had the money to do a convertible project but, thats just me....The only other problem I see is that the top is fiberglass and the cab is metal???You might want to go with the fiberglass since it is lighter and most of the fiberglass is already there...
Just my $0.01 worth (can't afford the other penny--gas prices you know)

Shouldn't be a problem at all. All the factory ones were done the same basic way. Robie at at coloradok5.com ( http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=44187 ) chopped his 79 down, and 1low76jimmy ( http://www.1low76jimmy.alloffroad.com/ )on this board is in the process.
