Rally rims..and tires

Hello, I just bought a set of 15x8 rally rims and wondering what size tire to run on the rear. Right now I have some Modern rims, not sure on the width, with 31x11.5's on the rear (worn out) and 30x9.5's on the front. The fronts should be fine I'm thinking, but the rears are almost too big for my taste. BUT I have a line on some good 31's on craigslist for CHEAP..just wondering if (1) the 31's fit a 15x8 and (2) if not, whats a good size tire to run on them and still look beefy??

Thank you, Joe

Re: Rally rims..and tires

I'm running the 275/60's but they are only 28" in diameter. They look better on a lowered truck. I prefer a 255/70 R 15 on a non lowered truck. They measure 29" tall and have a good beefy look. I personally like 31"+ on 4X4's only.

I'm running 31 10.50/15's on a 8" rim on my truck. Still stock height.

Re: Rally rims..and tires

Thanks for the replys. I'm still not sure what size I want to run. The front has 30x9.5's, I can't afford to buy new fronts too so those will get changed over to the new rallys. I would like the backs to be slightly bigger than the front as I like that look...I can't seem to find a 30x10.5, but Discount Tire said a 235/75's would be the same in size.....I think I will go to the tire store and check them out so I can lay eyes on them.

71mutt, I like the look of your truck with that tire/rim combo.

Anymore pics of what tires you guys run?

Thanks, Joe

Re: Rally rims..and tires

Here is a set of BFG 31x10.5 at stock height if that helps. Don't think I'm going to keep them. Pardon the dust.

I did, but don't think I want to go any smaller than the 30x9.5's.

Soule64, That looks good too, how wide are the rims? I'm wondering if my "mordern" rims are narrower than the rallys...

heres a couple pics of what it looks like now...

Thanks man. It's a 20 footer for sure though!! haha I had just washed it

About the bumper..you know, I really haven't thought about that yet....think the front should be white, or the back black?
