Exclamation Vacuum thingy on air cleaner

Where can I get a replacement vacuum actuator, motor thingy that moves the door on the air cleaner to let hot air up from the exhaust?

I have spent hours looking everywhere on the intrawebs and there are a few different names for it and it doesn't seem to be that common of a part.

This is for my 72 Blazer 350 btw.

Extra points for a part #

Thanks

Here is the correct NOS sensor:

GM # 6484244

The Thermac vacuum motor is reproduced by the Parts Place www.thepartsplaceinc.com. This should work, although it was patterend after a Chevelle part..

I forgot the name to ask for but AutoZone had them a few years ago. I think I actually looked it up in the catalog at the store though cause the clerks had no idea what it was.

Re: Vacuum thingy on air cleaner

Don't know the part your looking for or where to find it, but when you start throwing around sentences using "vacuum thingy" and "motor thingy" makes me just want to buy you a beer. Nice to know I am not alone. Good luck with search. The "thingy" has to be out there somewhere. Gary

Its called a " Thermostatically Controlled Air Cleaner". Well thats the name of the whole unit. Mine went into the recycling bin.

I never intended my truck to be a bone stock truck.

Oh yeah, besides the technical terms, like "the whachamacallit", there is the "thingy". But my favorite is the "chingadera".
