Hey need help with starter

I just did a manual tranny swap with a th400. the starter bolted up to the bellhousing. do i need a new starter and does it bolt up to the block. Its out of a 1971 c10. thanks

Depends on whether you used a 153 or 168 tooth flywheel.

It takes a different starter. You can change the drive end housing & use the same one. Make sure you have holes in the block for the vertical bolts. Some early models didn't have them.
