That is cool. My grandpa bought a new mid 50's school bus and operated it as an owner operator until the late 60's. I have always wanted to buy something like that to remember him by, even though he died when I was 2 months old. Other than the huge transportation bill on that one it would be neat, other than the fact that it is older and a chev. but I can get by that.

Yeah the old buses are not readily available anymore not like the trucks. Not many of them survived the crushers. I bet that would bring back a bunch of memories.

Pretty decent bus. that looks like it might be pretty easy to get in shape.

There is one of these on display at the AACA Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania ... if any of you get out there for the AACA Fall National Meet, it's well worth a few hours of your time ... the whole basement of the museum is devoted to buses which is REALLY neat. They even have the bus from Forrest Gump!

Those old buses are so rare I bet a bunch of them are in private collections now and hard to get.
