Explorer diff into 67??
I have my 67 front changed to 5 lug with drop spindles and springs and I want to run discs on the rear as well. Looks like one possibility is the Ford Explorer rear, I found one locally for cheap. I am ordering custom wheels, so the lug pattern isnt a biggie. The ratio would either be 3:55 or 3:73 either OK for me
Has anyone successfully installed one of these in 67-72 that can comment on the installation and results? The foto below is courtesy of board member b00sted |

Re: Explorer diff into 67??
Just cut everything off that don't fit a GM and weld back on what does..
Why not just redrill the axle's for 5x5 pattern?

A true 67-68 should be 61 inches wide

X2. I was thinking that they were for the sway bar or something.

Yea I would say sway bar too, you can barely make out the perches on the bottom of the axle just mout board of the vertical perches
