Up-date,
Got the solenoid heat shield from AutoZone for about 6 bucks. Had to take the starter off to get to the mount bolts for the solenoid cap mount bolts that the shield attaches with. Kind of a pain with the headers so tight. Got it back together and for now the problem seems to be fixed. Thanks again guys!!!
