Lowering Question

Hey All...I need some measurements. Could some of you kind people give me your measurement at the rear-end from the top of the rear-end (Axle) housing to the bottom of the frame (where the housing would hit if lowered to much). Also include your lowering spring (drop) height,, 2", 3", 4" etc...

*****Only one's from non-notched frames please*****

Thanks in advance ! !

Re: Lowering Question

Early Classic will tell you that their 6" drop coils leave 3" between the frame and the axle...Mine ended up a bit less.

Re: Lowering Question

I just meausured mine this week as I am in the process of relowering my truck and the measurement from the top on the axle to the frame is exactly 3 1/2 inches the guys at Early Classics said that it could be a 4 or 5 inch spring but I dont know as my truck already had this stance when I got it. The pict below maybe can give you an idea of how mine sits with a 20 inch wheel and a 295/40/20

Re: Lowering Question

if you let the air out of the bags ( and you're gonna want bags ) then the rear axle tubes will hit the frame rails. even with a c notch.

Re: Lowering Question

Thanks for the reply's. Below is a pic of mine (not to good) and I have the rear springs out and it's sitting on the leaf overloads and I like where it's at, thats why I was wanting info from all of you on where your at with distance/springs due to I have none in place. Before I pulled the bed/cab etc. I wanted to know in advance what I need. Keep the measurements coming, atleast a few more, even some stock height's..
