Wallowed out hole

Do any of our site vendors have a bracket or something to fix the wallowed out hole in my frame that the front upper shock stud goes into?

Re: Wallowed out hole

You could weld it up.

Re: Wallowed out hole

the quickest way would be to weld a heavy washer over the location (after stop drilling any cracks) or cut out the damaged area & weld in new metal. Either way would be structuraly sound if properly welded. & the rattle youv'e been looking for for ever will be gone! Don't ask me how I know

Cool Re: Wallowed out hole

If you don't have a welder, here's a link to the aftermarket fix:

Re: Wallowed out hole

Thanks ya'll, this site rocks. I knew there was an after market fix, just could not remember it. I have a mig welder but haven't done any thing more than body panels. I'll try, if I screw it up there is a back up plan.
