Mike I have new chrome in great condition that I am willing to trade. Are yours is very good condition without dents? If so lets talk. Scott Nadeau

Is it aftermarket chrome/aluminum?

I have two sets of steel grilles, one perfect and the other with a small dent

My headlight buckets are slightly rusted but should clean up with a good blasting. I also have one NOS headlight bucket...

pics?

Re: WTB NOS 67/68 shiny Grille trim and headlight buckets

what are your thoughts on the aftermarket ones? Do they feel like cheap soda cans? I am expecting the chrome price to be outrageous so that wouldn't be a bad deal. Is it the headlight buckets and grille rings?

send some pics and we can make some tentative plans.

Hart-Rob, Conroe trucker, how perfect of a set are you looking for?

MIke, I want a pretty nice set. But, I'm thinking the chrome price is going to be more than I want to pay also. Have you seen any that have been powdercoated chrome?

Re: WTB NOS 67/68 shiny Grille trim and headlight buckets

no I haven't seen the PC chrome, But my 68 nose will have chrome bumper, NOS letters, NOS hood trim so it would really have to be close to polished aluminum or chrome to work for me...

I have heard bad things about aftermarket but if it has a reflection to it then I might go that way...

I'm hoping for $250 chrome prices but I think it will be double or triple...

Mike, I have a set of the aftermarket aluminum ones that I will probably end up using. They look great now, I'm just not sure how they will hold up. I'm thinking about getting them powder coated in clear. Any thoughts?

Scott, here is the set I have.. they are in great shape.. only issue on one of them is this slightly pushed in area...very minor. The backs of all these have a little surface rust but that's all hidden once cleaned.

Let me know if you still want to trade.

mike
