Looks really good man.... and perfect for that truck!

It is amazing what you have done with that truck; new stance, some wheels & tires, a little lettering and it is turning out to be a real cool ride!

thats funny, we had a guy at the Ford plant that I worked at that had a red mid 80's F-150 Ranger that had one set of white graphics on one side and one set of black on the other, got all the way to the dealership like that, he thought it was funny and told them to leave it alone....still drove it everyday like that,

I don't know if I'd go that far. Ther are still some proportion problems with some of the letters, but I'm going try to correct them as much as I can! I think my next step is going to be a nasty static drop kinda like your's!

You're not kidding! The first two I did were off the truck, and with this one being lowered it presented a challenge. As you can tell by the pics, as we say in the south, "I'm a big 'ol boy!" and I would lean a little, crouch a little, sit a little and start over. I just could not get all the arcs just sitting in a chair. I struggle with painting vertically for some reason. I am much more stable painting horizontally. So to do vertical lines, it works better when I turn me horizontally!

I was just afraid that it was break the windshield on hard launches and clutch dumps. I'm thinking about spraying a 250 HP shot on the six banger ya know!

Re: My '69 is offically a shop truck!

I did some touching up yesterday, and I think it looks better. I widened the letters on "City" because I thought they looked to thin compared to "River". I also angled the letters on the "SPEED" to match a little better. I'm aclling this done and I started on the passenger side. I post pics when I'm done with it. Here's the before and after before touch up.

Re: My '69 is offically a shop truck!

I started on the passenger door tonight. I kept trying to figure out how I was going to keep them fairly consistant from side to side, so I printed out a pic of the other door, and hung it up to help me. I took all the mesaures from the other door, and made a border with tape to keep it in the same spot. I've got a little tweaking to do, but it looks pretty close to the other side. I also added a pic of the paint I'm using. I bought these when I did the test doors (nearly a year ago) and the white can got left out the weather for a couple of months. I think it adds character to the finish!

Yeah, I need good story don't I? Maybe I'll have a board submitted contest for the best Speed Shop story! I thought about putting something on the tail gate also.
