s-10 overheating
Overheating will lead to loss of oil viscosity (thinning) and of course lower oil pressure. Have you tried changing the thermostat and/or flushing the radiator. Also, small leaks in the chevy radiators are common and can cause overheating. This happened to me twice on my 93. Since you changed the dash module I would be looking for something under the hood. Radiator caps that fail can do this too.
