Re: '71 GMC trailer wiring harness install.
My 99 tahoe had all the wiring for a 7 plug unit i just had to hook it up to the brake controller and mount/wire up the plug for the back so I could have trailer brakes on my tahoe. Then last year i traded it for a 05 burban and the other day i went to pull my new toy home and was really wishing i had grabbed my trailer brake controller out of the tahoe before i traded it. So I had to order the plugin harness for it and pick me up a brake controller. I forgot how spensive those things are. Good luck on your hookup.
