rear shocks

i have a 70 gmc 2wd 3/4 ton with leafs in the rear
i am looking at getting new shocks (still have sock spirials) the shock brand that i plan to use list a front pair of shocks but not rear (not a big deal) i will just have to retrofit some. to my question will 73-87 rear shocks bolt up? i thought it was weird they list for 73-87 rear but not 67-72 rear

Re: rear shocks

i have been looking around the net at KONI-QA1-BILSTIEN...ect i want a high end performance shock. like i said most companys list a front for 67-72 but not rears. so i guess i can try 87 rears.

Re: rear shocks

F4-B46-1047-H0 would be the rear Bilstein part number for a 70 GMC C25 with rear leaf. F4-B46-1185-H0 would be the front Bilstein shock part number.

Re: rear shocks

ya thanks i just went to kragen and looked at both 70 and 87 rear 3/4 ton shocks the 87 is only an inch longer than the 70 so reall you could use 87 rear shocks also.
