I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the cab and box mounts when putting a 65 chevy shortbox step side on to a 73-87 chevy frame?? thanks

I don't have any pics, but I have put a '61 body on a '74 frame. It'll end up sitting about like a stock K10. I wouldn't do that to my own truck. I would suggest just putting the '73 suspension under your '65. It wouldn't be any more work than building all the body mounts and everything else involved.

I have a 66 cab on a 71 chassis. I think its about the same. don't recon much changed in the chassis, just the suspension and the brake upgrades.. here is a pic. I have yet to put the matching bed on, but any who... hope that helps.

The '63-'72 frames are essentially the same , just some minor changes. The '73-'87 frames are a bit different......from the front suspension back.

HA HA. she is in the process of getting a make over. That was last fall, and if I had side panels she could have carried the other 3500 lbs (the other half of the 85 foot pine I cut out of my front yard) Im proud of my 66' she works hard and looks good doing it.

I'll look for it tonight when I get home. For some reason, this computer connection keeps timing out when I try to use the search.

The search isn't working for me at home right now either. I'll post up a link when I find it.
