What size drill bit?

I have door panels that take the white christmas tree clip/screws but the doors take the small screws with the square screw nut. what would be the correct drill bit to use to drill the holes out so the christmas tree screw/clips will work without messing something up? hope this makes sense...

Re: What size drill bit?

Drill a few different size holes in a scrap peice of steel and find the most suitable size before you drill,
Hope this helps

Toot I got to looking at them and you might be better off on the square holes you already have in the door by getting the cage nuts that clip into them and drilling the cage nuts to fit the christmas tree clips?? Call me. Thanks Tim
