We had a new neighbor move in this past fall down the road and I like most people didn't pay attention to his new building additions. Well...come to find out he built a new garage so he can do body work on the side. Being the the nice guy that I am I finally stopped in to say Hi. Of course the K5 top sitting in his drive way was also calling my name. Come to find out he has a 72 K5 he his working on along with a 69 SWB f/s. He also owns a 69 short step side and his dad owns a 67 swb step side. Tim said he's worked on these trucks since high school. After a long conversation about our trucks I asked how much he would charge to make one new bed out of the two beds I own. My box has good sides and front while the Tx bed has an EC floor and wheel wheels. Tim said he would match the two and install for about $500 but it would be this fall till he could do it. Guess what? This fall I will finally get my new and improved bed installed on my 70cst.
Life is good but owning a 67/72 Chevy/GMC truck makes it much better!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
