rear ac lines
Ok so I have a 72 suburban sitting on a 1990 dodge W350 SRW chassis with a cummins. My Suburban has a vintage air front ac and factory rear. The problem is that the rear lines are cut as soon as they leave the rear of the truck. Where can I find lines and how do they run. Where do they hook up? I am hoping to get this solved before summer. thanks

Re: rear ac lines
I just looked at mine. Below the compressor (in that general area) there is a tee in the lines you are used to seeing. These tees direct the hoses down and below the sub on the passenger side, they go for about a foot and then start crossing the bottom of the sub diagonally (towards the driver side). They then go into the back of the rocker panel below where the 4rth door would be. I have to assume at that point they run up to the roof and run the rest of the way inside the sub. Then again ... no telling what they do once they dissappear.

Re: rear ac lines
The Assembly Manual has very good illustrations on the front to rear lines.
If you obtain an Assembly Manual it will help you a lot on this project and others that may come up. Jim

Re: rear ac lines
Assembly manual is available at LMC (39.95 +) or Classic Parts (34.95+) or I bet Tim Christian has them. I prefer dealing with him. Great guy.

Re: rear ac lines
bad sam has the front half of the route correct. once the go in to the 4 th door space then are behind the trim panel under hte window and up in the drives side rear corner post. out of the corner in the open for a coulpe inches and under the cover of the a/c unit. If you need pictures i will take them.

Re: rear ac lines
DINS 1 pics would be great. I am gonna order an assembly manual and a parts number book. Anything to help me get the burb running better for the summer will help alot. send some pics of the duramax burb too. My burb is sitting on a 1990 dodge W350(1 ton) SRW chassis. I really wanted to do the DMAX but when you have a donor truck you use it.lol god I envy your allison

Re: rear ac lines
I will get pictures tomarrow. the durmax burb is still in many pieces.
I have shorted the wheel base of a crew cab shortbox 4x4 in prep of setting a body on top and building body mounts. I am planning on useing a stand alone controler for the engine and a seperate one for the allison. here is a link to the controleer for the allison http://www.destroked.com/parts.shtml
