if i go with 3/5 drop or 4/6 drop with no c notch can i still haul 650# in the bed of the truck without botoming out?? thanks!

In my own personal experience a 6" drop will bottom out with you sooner or later. There are guys on this forum that claim to have 6" of drop (the same brand as mine (Early Classic)) who haul loads and never bottom out. I'm not sayin that they're wrong or telling stories....Just that mine does bottom out!

I feel that if you don't want to notch your frame and you still want to haul a load that 5" of drop is going to be the happy spot for you. We've even done a couple of em with just 2.5" drop spindles in front ( kept the stock front coils) combined with 5" of drop in the rear. It seems to give them a good stance that way (and saves you the cost of buying new coils).

welli wanna be able to haul smaller atvs still....(500 lbs) so 5" rear spring and 2.5 spindles and ?cnotch? thanks

I really don't think you'd have to notch your frame for 5 inches of drop out back. My suggestion would be to try it and see. You can always come back later and notch it. If you're not going to haul anything any heavier then an ATV and you don't mind doing the notch, go ahead with the 6" springs. If you don't wanna cut the frame, you should be more then safe with the 5" drop out back.

I'd like to tell you "yeah! go for it" but you know I can't do that. My truck is dropped 6" out back without a notch. Sometimes it bottoms out while it's empty, sometimes while it's loaded. I drive my stuff hard...I don't baby em. If you eased around everywhere you went, you might never bottom out...but I doubt it. All the trucks that I've helped put 5" springs on have never hauled anything very heavy. But, they have NEVER bottomed out. My suggestion would be for you to give the guys at Early Classic a call and let them know how you plan on using the truck. They do this for a living and are good at what they do. I'm sure that they will be glad to point you in the right direction.
