Chevy Vs Gmc
Does anyone know if the 67-72 Chevy truck frames are the same as the 67-72 Gmc trucks? Meaning the body/cab/bed mounts, are they the same?

Re: Chevy Vs Gmc
Frames are the same comparing year to year. Alot of the GMC's had leaf springs, that would be the only difference you would run into. I am referring to the 1/2 ton 2wd drive trucks.

Re: Chevy Vs Gmc
GMC had standard leafs and Chevy was standard with coils in the rear.Either could be optioned the other way.Back then GM didn't reinvent the horse.

Re: Chevy Vs Gmc
This is my project, I have a 1967 Chevy Lwb with an Ls1 Corvette motor in it. I want to change it over to a SWB and put the C4 Corvette Suspension in the front and rear. I have found a Gmc Swb and was wondering if the frames were the same so I didn't have to chop my frame in the middle which I don't like to do anyway. Will it work?

Re: Chevy Vs Gmc
A lot of body parts will work for you too, if that GMC body is still there. The fenders are the same, with the exception of the marker light. Doors, cab and bed will work too.
