Re: great deal and i need a little help

if you are going to use your qudrajet your going to need a carb adapter and some new gaskets.

You may also may need to modify your bracket for your throttle cable.

Poke, theres a thread below by frankeyjoet that has two video's in it to reinstall the distributor and get your firing order correct. it's real easy to get plug wires crossed. these two video's will help you alot. hopefully this guy still has the directions for the intake as there is a tightening sequence to follow. i dont remember it off hand. any good repair manual should have it in there tho. if the two small rubber gaskets are missing for the front and back, just use a good rtv. hope this helps.......

I do not think you need an adapter for a performer intake. It has holes for ether quadrajet, or eldebrock carbs. I am not sure about holley carbs. Your stock throtle brackets will work if it's a performer intake also.
Good Luck.

$25 for a new intake? I would question that, it sounds like a "to good to be true" deal.
Buy a Haynes manual and read the instructions that come with the intake.

Re: great deal and i need a little help

i had many issues with the kickdown cable and the bracket for hooking that up.. luckilly i had the trans rebuilt about the time and the guy i use for that fabbed me up one.
The other thing i was told and it worked ok for me is to use the Edelbrock gaskets as opposed to the ones over the counter at the parts stores.. I did and have no problems
