The price kills it to start with for me. The lights, well that can be fixed. That nice of a truck I would have left it alone and used the factory front end.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

If this truck is straight and rust free, decent paint and runs excellant its worth that kind of money. Headlights??? thats up to you. To me thats no worse than other later mods guys do. Slammin, LS, motors etc. Its your $$$$

I agree if that truck has no rust and runs good it would be worth that or close to it, cause if you build one and do it ''RIGHT'' it would cost more but if your wanting to change a bunch a stuff just build one. And for that grill with square headlights not my style but JMO.

You're exactly correct! But, in my experience car lots that have these old trucks that are straight, no rust with decent paint want Barret Jackson prices.

Slammin and LS motors is no comparison to a square headlight conversion. A slammed truck with an LS motor still carries all the classic lines of an original while still having a milder custom feel.

Sure, they made a statement when they went with square headlights...but so did that guy I saw at the mall the other day with the stretched out earlobes, purple hair and the tattoos on his face. It was his money and I'm glad he spent it in a way that makes him feel more "individual".....I just hope he understands when people stare at him it's not because they think he's cool.

I think (my opinion here) that custom mods should improve the looks or performance of a vehicle. The photoshopped image flows well and looks well planned. The actual truck looks just like what it is.... a truck that had some square headlights bolted on and then some metal cut to fit around it. Yeah, the builder can be proud that he's got a mod that just anyone can't call a 1-800 number and have waiting on their doorstep in two days....But theres probably a reason for that....

Nah, nothin' happy about those. Unless you define gay as homosexual, though I don't agree with that definition either.
To me, those pipes are redneck. I'm just sayin...

As to the white truck -- nice truck, not at all bad for a 2WD, but I don't care for the rectangular headlamps... or the lower sheetmetal treatment. And I know I can't live with a white interior, but that's just me.

Re: 1968 Stepside Like OR No-Like

I'm from the school of thought that no square headlight should ever go where a round one came out
