Re: Front roll pans WITH sway bar???

What part of the sway bar is hitting the pan? (the bar or the frame bracket?) If it is the frame bracket, are you using a stock bracket or a lowered one?

Re: Front roll pans WITH sway bar???

The first pic shows the mount I think I am looking at.
It comes right up to the roll pan. I would have to cut back the pan a few inches?

It is hard to tell with out a front roll pan on there how close it comes to it.

When I got my truck 13 years ago I sold the sway bar because it wasn't on the truck....and I had no idea at the time what it was...lol

Now before I buy another I want to make sure it will go on without too much trouble.

Thanks for those pics....now I know where the control arm mounts are. Just need the top mounts figured out.

So that must be a lowered bracket pic..?

It says on that site..."trucks with air bags use stock brackets"

Re: Front roll pans WITH sway bar???

Which part of the sway bar bracked are you hitting? The part where bracket bolts to frame, or the part where the bar bolts to the bracket?

most of the ones in the pictures above look like stock ones. Here are two photos below are from Earlyclassic.com

First one is stock height, second one is lowered height.

Re: Front roll pans WITH sway bar???

I think you are doing something incorrectly or maybe you have the wrong sway bar as there is no possible way the front roll pan and the swaybar including any type of bracket you are using could get in the way.

I just checked my truck and the front of the bracket is at least a foot back from the lower lip of the front roll pan.

Re: Front roll pans WITH sway bar???

I just checked my '68 and the front of the sway bar bracket is behind the large hole in the frame, using the bolt hole behind it (in your pic, the area with the blue on it). The rear of the brack mounts back up the frame rail, I think where you have the factory rivit. You have to drill out that rivit and replace it with a bolt that holds the cross member and sway bar bracket.

I think you are trying to mount the bracket too far forward, looking at your pics.

I edited your pic and put arrows where you should be bolting the bracket to.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
