Heatshields

I'm nearing completion of my 400 for my 77 GMC, and the spark plug heatshields are trashed. Anyone know where I can find these new?

Also I need the stock plug wire looms that attach the the valve covers, havin a hard time finding those too.

I run aftermarket looms, no heat shields. Thought about "header wrap" but havn't got that far yet.

Re: Heatshields

It's been awhile, but I got the sparkplug heat shields from my Chevy dealer. Had to install them when I switched from stock exhaust manifolds to headers.

They are still available from GM. I bought some last summer. I will get you the part number this afternoon.

Re: Heatshields

I looked into aftermarket looms, but I guess I'm going for the stock look on this engine. It came through from the factory with heat shields, but they are shot.

I was actually doing more research last night and I can get them for a 70 Chevelle with a small block, from SS396.com, and they look the same.

Thanks!
