Re: Sent one down the road today.
Yeah, its a hay bunker. I just strung a cable and tarps across the front for a little bit of cover from the elements.

What's the story on the 56' hanging around the rafters? Some nice old iron in that garage.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Thanks for helping me out with my curiosity. I had no clue. They must have had alot of pastureland to fill that big barn up with hay.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
They filled up the bunker and up above on the main barn. He bought hay from Eastern Washington too. I remember those hay trucks would come in and the calls would go out for "volunteers" to buck all the hay into the loft. I dont even know if I could lift a bail of hay anymore lol. The little kids would get out on the truck and hop on the bails and ride em up the conveyors into the loft. Those were actually fun times when it was a working dairy.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Alot of hay fields around here. However you wouldn't get much done around here if you were waiting for volunteer labor. Especially when getting the September harvest when it is 95-100 degrees out. Folks must be awfully nieghborly up in the Pacific NW.
