RPO Code Question

Hello Guys, i just bought an 83 1/2T Chevy...It has an RPO code of GQ1 for the axle ratio. Everywhere I look, it says "Rear Axle-Standard" but never lists the ratio. Does anyone know what ratio this would be? Also how about a
"YH5". This is for a "Sequoia Special" package, just wondering what that is exactly?

Thanks
Leo

Re: RPO Code Question

Is the 83 2 or 4 wheel drive? Pickup,Blazer, or Suburban? Standard ratio on an 81 2wd blazer is 3.08's...

Re: RPO Code Question

My '83 is a 4wd std cab longbox that originally had a 305, I'm guessing the standard ratio back then would be 3.08. Thats what my '86 came with...

Re: RPO Code Question

Should be a 3.08. My 90 blazer said standard ratio then it had a code for 3.42's...
