Re: Gotta Stay Off Craigslist

A couple of reasons that the spare is on the front. One being that the holding tanks are under the back of the coach.

If you have ever had to crawl under a pickup with an extended camper on it to get to the spare when you had a flat you grow to appreciate that front mounted spare real quick. Makes a great push bar too.
As for the camper part of the truck. the aluminum siding and trim can be sold for scrap and a sawzall and a couple of hours time will reduce the rest of it to a small pile of scrap wood. That thing looks like a prime candidate for a dualie crew cab conversion.

Re: Gotta Stay Off Craigslist

you only have a problem if you admit to them and go to those meetings.
Besides, isn't this board a 12 year program to help us with it?

Hey...it's a white '68 dually...how bad can it be...LOL?

mr48chev...I don't think I would even bother with the aluminum siding...LOL! It's that kind of justification that REALLY gets me in trouble!

Andy...I took the morning off to work on the BB Longhorn so I don't feel guilty. I am delaying a decision on this one. I might have to throw them a really low number to see if they bite. NOBODY in their right mind would buy this thing for anything other than a flatbed conversion. The cab and front clip are so solid...what a nice Longhorn dually they would make!

Hey Mike if you do buy it just park it in your back yard and let mother nature and the next wind storm take care of that camper for you
