slip yoke for bagged trucks

anyone had to install a slip yoke in a truck when using a two piece drive shaft. i have a long wheel base i bagged and the carrier is moving alot, just wondered if a slip was the right/proper way to do things, thanks for any help.

I did a 2 piece on my short box. I made a cradle for the carrier i figured that was the weak link. Have not drove it but hope it works.

A lot of 2 piece drive shafts have a slip joint in them
The carrier bearing isnt really meant to move like a slip joint


I would have one put in if it were mine

Most of the trucks I work on have multiple driveshafts 2 or 3 and they all have slip yokes on the last carrier bearing other wise all the movement of the rear axle would be transmited back to the transmision and engine do you have a slip yoke on the transmission?
