They filled up the bunker and up above on the main barn. He bought hay from Eastern Washington too. I remember those hay trucks would come in and the calls would go out for "volunteers" to buck all the hay into the loft. I dont even know if I could lift a bail of hay anymore lol. The little kids would get out on the truck and hop on the bails and ride em up the conveyors into the loft. Those were actually fun times when it was a working dairy.

Alot of hay fields around here. However you wouldn't get much done around here if you were waiting for volunteer labor. Especially when getting the September harvest when it is 95-100 degrees out. Folks must be awfully nieghborly up in the Pacific NW.
