Re: chevy trucks

Sure have. they had some neat white door panals with red and blue stripes and I think a 76 emblem or spirt of 76 emblem . I have never seen one in person tho.

Re: chevy trucks

There was also a Nova that was the same paint scheme. That one was a 74...and i think there was a 76 Nova too.

Re: chevy trucks

I owned a 1976 Bonanza longbed with the Spirit of 76 package, and sold it to a buddy about 8 years ago. 350/th350. Mine was two-tone blue/white center, and the interior was: dash- blue, seat- white w/blue inserts, door panels- white with the Spirit of 76 emblems. I was such a great truck, and in a flash of stupidity, I sold it because I quit racing karts and didn't need a truck to haul the race trailer. It was a one-owner truck that had never been molested. The paint was tired, but it was complete and unbelieveably reliable. The bed had zero dents, and there was one small rust area just aft of the passenger front wheel opening (typical rust area).

My friend let his 17yr old drive it because he totalled his ElCamino (I knew this was a bad omen), and the kid plowed the '76 into a brand new Silverado at a stoplight and totalled both trucks. Typical, on the phone with the stereo blaring, oblivious to the traffic. Well, my buddy owns a body shop and they pulled the frame and replaced the front sheet metal and it's been sitting outside the shop for the past 2 years. It breaks my heart everytime I see it. The kid has huge plans for it, but to him, huge plans means a stereo with 1000 watts. I've often thought about buying it back, but after the wreck, it's like the truck has been raped and it'll never be the same to me.
