Re: A new Addition
I think the bumper guards are going to go eventually.they are missing one of the pieces.the bumper is bent and the mounts so a new one is on the list of things to replace. the steelies where cool but the tires on them where in really bad shape(unsafe at any speed) and the rims where mismatched. I had the ralleys in storage so there was no cost to swap them. I had just put new tires on the front ones before they were put away. I still want to change the back ones to a 295-50 or a 275-60 and then drop the back 5" and the front another 1-2". I'm thinking the rims will get painted grey or black not sure which color yet. I'm still working on finishing the body got the hood done today hoping to finish the tailgate tomorrow if its not to hot.

Re: A new Addition
Well I got the tailgate done just need to put it back on. I'm just glad to finally have it all one color again. It didn't come out to bad considering I have only done bodywork on one other vehicle before this. It' not going to be a show car so it doesn't have to be perfect. Will post pics tomorrow when its all back together.

Re: A new Addition
Did you lower it more in the front? It looks it. If so what did you do? The back does look better now that it is down. The truck is coming along nicely.

Re: A new Addition
Well heres some details, 3" spindles, 2" springs, poly bushings, ball joints, tie rods, pitman, idler, 6"flip. The brakes got, master cyl, all stainless hard lines, steel braded hoses, proportioning valve, calipers, wheel cylinders, drums, springs, and shoes all around. Next we'll get into the drive train.

Re: A new Addition
Nice! Looking good. Do the rear tires rub when the bed is loaded? It looks close to the fender lip with those big tires.

Re: A new Addition
Thanks for the info on the lowering method used. It looks good. Are you still planning on different tires on the rear? If so what are you looking at?

Re: A new Addition
It's still green primer. It faded a bit from the sun.

Re: A new Addition
I didn't notch the frame so there is about 1" between the tire and the fender as it sits. It has about 1 1/2 inches of travel between the frame and differential. I don't carry loads in it so I haven't had any problems with it.
