I am looking for an original vacuum gauge. I already have the tin and the lens.

I am also looking for a pair of Blazer doors, or truck doors for my '70 K/5, an original core support and RH front fender.

I will be parting a '72 CST Blazer with original 350/TH350/NP205, so I can trade any chassis/mechanical(no body parts available) parts for the ones I am looking for. The frame will be eventually available...

I am in NY state 14830.

Have you purchased from www.cs-m.com before? I just ordered a vacuum gauge, instrument panel, and bezel. Now you have me worried that you said lack of quality.

The aftermarket vacuum gauges I have seen at shows rarely have the needle resting at 0. Some of them were at 15" while in the box. All of the 37 year old vacuum gauges I have had were very accurate, and went back to zero when the vacuum source was depleted. Sorry if I alarmed you.

You should contact CS-M anyway, he may have one in NOS. He does not just deal in repro parts, he has lots of hard to find and NOS parts as well as offering restoration services for almost everything for these trucks, plus he is a great guy to boot. He may also have the lenses you are looking for....

My aftermarket vacuum gauge was like this before I "calibrated" it. The spring thing on the back of the gauge is flimsy and gets tweaked during shipping so I tweaked it back so the gauge would read zero and "tested" it against my hand operated vacuum pump to verify it reads correctly.

FYI- I received my vacuum gauge from www.cs-m.com/catalog.htm. The gauge not new but an original used GM gauge in excellent condition. The needle rests at zero.

I spoke with Gary Terry last week. If anyone is interested (especially you Carolina folks) he is supposed to be at some show/event in Charlotte (I think) this weekend. He has lots of good stuff, and does excellent restoration of interior items.
