Window Tint

I want to tint the windows on my 71 shortbed but dont know how dark to go. I was thinking 35%. Does anybody have pics of their windows tinted to 35%? Or just pics of trucks with tinted windows and the percent that they are tinted? I dont want to go too dark. Thanks!

Re: Window Tint

you may want to ask a state inspetion place (if applicable) or a friendly officer of the law this question.
Its no fun peeling off $250 worth of window tint.
Also, if this is a driver, and you drive at night much (winter) then you may want to think about it a bit more. Makes things a little more difficult.

Re: Window Tint

my winter beater (F*rd ranger) has got some pretty dark tints on it, and i drive ti all winter long and tons at night. you dont really notice it until you get out of the city and into the country (where i live

when you driving late at night, and theres no lights for miles except you own, its real hard to see around you. but even that isn't a problem, until you pull into a driveway and try to park in the middle of the night..

Re: Window Tint

I know when I was delivering pizzas as a second job (from 6 to midnight, weekdays, and 6 to 2 am on weekends) it was a total pain to manuver around in the apartment complexes that were all over the place. I was driving a small car too and it was still a total pain.

Re: Window Tint

I agree with Andy. However, I have 35% on 5 of 6 windows and I kinda wish I had gone with 20% on the back window since the front window makes up for it.

Re: Window Tint

I think my silverado has 35%, it was like that when I bought it. It's GREAT for the Carolina summers for keeping the cab cool on those sunny drives down the interstate, but I really dislike driving it in unfamiliar areas at night. It's really hard to see out of the side windows, especially with low light.
