Question bb cross member

putting a bb block in the 71 4x4. got the bb brackets. do i need a different cross member for the bb brackets to bolt too. they dont seem to fit on the sb cross member. thanks jeff

There were no factory big block 4x4 trucks in 1967-72. Guys have installed them, but I am not sure what is involved. Try posting on the 4x4 board.

From what I have gathered, most people use the small block brackets. I posted an article a while back on using big block brackets and cross member from a 73-up.
