Nos?

I found a driver side and passenger side door for sale. The guy selling them says they are nos but there are no stickers. Is there a way to tell nos from repop? He is asking $800 for the set. I really need new doors but dont want to get ripped off. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Nos?

Not sure how to tell.

If there was a sticker you should be able to see the spot it was on for so many years.

Re: Nos?

Question #1:Why would he sell N.O.S. for repop prices?

Re: Nos?

The story is that he bought his truck with these doors on it. He said the original ones also came with it and they needed very little work so he put them back on and is trying to recoup some of his money. Why he is only asking $800 for 2 "nos" doors I couldnt tell you.

Re: Nos?

Be careful, I wonder if they are a different weight, I know the Repop tailgates are alot lighter

Actually, today's repops weigh the same. Boardmember VA72C10 weighed both a repop and an original/NOS two months ago and they were the same. Apparently the metal is the same thickness on the repop, just a poorer quality metal.
