HID kits - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Yeah i have a friend that bought some HID play and plug kit 9006 size bulbs and he cannot figure why it does not turn on. The truck is a 2001 silverado 2500 HD.. It has daytime running lights and the instructions said to turn off the daytime running lights but he dont know how to take them off. Is there a sensor something to take the daytime running lights off. Or is it a fuse ihe has to disconnect. Please anybody have some info on this. Thanks
