Ever Seen This One?
I haven`t been in this forum for awhile.Has anyone put thios up before?Or,is it a member`s or someone you know? It`s a`56 Blazair.
I would have liked to see the crest rather than letters and the trim across the tailgate since it has tailight trim.I would`ve lost the side markers, too. But,I really like it!

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Whoa.... that thing is sweet! A different take on two different classic models. I don't recall ever seeing this one.
The side markers a little different, but I kind of like the Chevrolet across the tailgate. And would love to get a better shot of those buckets, they look pretty nice.

I don't know. I'm going to have to think about this one. but you can't knock the workmanship! love the color combo and dig the '56 steering wheel....

Re: Ever Seen This One?
That's great. I actually thought about trying to put the old chevy trim on a Blazer several years ago, after seeing a late model Blazer done up that way.
Is that air brushed on or is it actual trim?

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Looks very nice. I would have tried to use actual trim rather than the airbrush...but then agian, I would have probably just screwed up a nice set of 56 trim after all my trimming and hacking.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Based on the last pic, I'm gonna go with airbrushed. Not my style (granted neither is my current paint job), but a lotta nice work.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Hmmm, not my style either. From the doors forward works just fine for me, but not the rear portion.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
I always appreciate hard work, especially when it's done so well.
Personally, I think it's missing about 8 inches of lift and some 35s to make it complete. |

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Yes, I have seen this before! This blazer was purchased by my good friend Tom Barboza from Riverside Ca. at my first annual C/10 car show 2006. Here is an earlier picture of it, before the incredible transformation. WOW what a difference!!!!!
And here is the MAN himself.......

Re: Ever Seen This One?
I saw it at the Goodguys show last month. Once again my keen ability to leave my camera at home struck again. My friend had a couple pics, but not of that one. Here is one that was at the same show.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Other than the colors it looks similar to a rendering I had done several years ago.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Looks like it is a full time roadster now since the upper windshield frame appears to have been altered to no longer accept a hard top. Almost looks like a cut down truck frame with no drip rail. I wonder if the builder did this to give it a cleaner look, or if the original frame was to far gone to save.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
Why, yes it was a1970 4wd Blazer from the factory, DO you know how hard it is to find A 1970 2wd Blazer? Thats like finding A needle in A hay stack. It was framed swapped with a cut down frame powered by 350/700R4, power steering, power brakes, tilt and tach combo (by who else but Kevin Hernandez of course.) Plus the front end was changed, I've been looking for some older photos of it with no luck. It was pretty ugly.

Re: Ever Seen This One?
I imagine it means he took a C/10 frame and cut it down to Blazer dimensions.

A donor 5 lug frame was shorten and swapped.
