Cab swap???????????????????????

Hey guys, just a quick question that I might already know the answer to, I'm wanting to swap a '85 2wd. cab to a '77 4wd truck, does the high hump floor need to be changed or can I get by without, or maybe 1-2" body lift? To clear transfer case & shifter. And a second question, what would it take to go ahead & use the '77 front end(fenders & core support) on the'85 cab. Thanks in advance, LOTS of good info on this site.

Re: Cab swap???????????????????????

you have to cut the floor and install the hump from the 77

Re: Cab swap???????????????????????

I just done a swap like this. I put a 86 gmc cab with a low hump on a 75 chevy 4x4 frame. I put a 3"body lift inplace and it clears the transfer case. I have not got mine done yet today was the first day i got to work on it in a month ... Good luck man.

Thats what I was hoping to hear! Do you think it would take a full 3" lift to clear the case? I plow snow with this truck so don't want to get to crazy! Any info on using the '77 front fenders?
